As Writing Unchained nears the one-year mark, I thought it might be interesting to try Substack’s audio capability. So here is my debut post, “Why Substack?”, of May 6th, 2023, read to you.

I found your voice slow and clear so perhaps the volume was not up for Herr Forkenspoon (love the name). And I remember your first substack and read about Mexico with great pleasure. If you are ever in Mexico City, please let me know as my ex stepsoninlaw is the Italian ambassador to Mexico and very interesting and fun and knows no one as of yet. Also a great cook and would love restaurant and food advice...hello from southern France.
