A Pause...
With the conclusion of THE COAST, I’ll skip posting this Sunday. Thanks for your various thoughts and responses by email, Substack, Facebook, and of course for taking the time to give the novel your attention. Most who commented said they enjoyed the weekly postings and anticipated the next installment. One reader suggested that our truncated attention spans these days went well with presenting a novel in installments. A few said they found the narrative interruptions frustrating and would rather have read the book continuously. Another reader wondered if I was “Paul,” the narrator of the story, while another emailed me as “Dear Paul.” No, I’m not Paul, though we share some characteristics and experiences.
Until next Sunday, then.

I had no trouble at all knowing who was whom, and Paul was clearly a character from the get-go! I loved the break between chapters to contemplate what might have happened and what was going to happen and who these characters were, when. Loved the break. It's had to accept new art forms, howvever, but I feel this one is incredibly useful to those and those of US who find the book publishing era changed in so many ways and not always for the benefit of the author. Let's have another, Señor Cohan.
Thanks Tony! ❤️
