A BREATHER
Taking a reflective pause this week as 2023 bids us adieu and 2024 introduces itself. Gratitude to those of you who started with me in May and have looked in on the site, steadily or intermittently, through a couple of serialized novels, some street art, various commentaries on writing, travel, Mexico, and more. To those who joined later, my sincere thanks, and I invite you to explore earlier posts you might have missed.
As I find my way into this space, a sort of digital storefront window, I pin up different things to display each week. I look forward to resuming next Sunday with more commentaries, excerpts, fictions, work new and old, and life, the thing itself. Sending all good wishes, and I’ll end 2023 with a couple of quotes:
“True writers are necessary: they express what others feel without being able to give it form, and that is why all tyrannies muzzle them.” - Marguerite Yourcenar
“It will come for the fiction writers first.” - Jensen Huang, Founder, President and CEO of Nvidia, on the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

It’s been a delightful journey and I look forward to next year! Happy New Year. 🎵🎉❤️
AI is the biggest fraud of our time. Nothing artificial can be intelligent. It can be programmed to emulate intelligence and can have no original thought of it's own.
